“ I approach the things that interest me with the same unabashed brilliance of a child’s curiosity – thus, my works can be interpreted as manifestations of hyper-fixations. I treat my wheel-thrown pots as mind canvases, utilizing a variety of surfacing techniques such as sgraffito, slip-trailing, and hand-painting to explore motifs that I consistently fixate on, including mountain-scapes, outerspace, constellations, clouds, and animals. I strive to weave them together into harmonious compositions that inspire joy, oftentimes incorporating humor though the additions of snarky comments and motivational phrases. This sometimes results in a comically absurd delivery of profundity.

By humoring whatever thoughts pop into my brain and embracing the tangential hooplah instead of attempting to tame it, I arrive at seemingly odd amalgamations that I would not have come to if I had not entertained the tangent otherwise.

I hope to invite delight and personal contemplation through the use of my work. My wish is that they serve in creating a space for all thoughts to be thought without judgment.

It’s just you, my pot, and your thoughts, baby! “
